“As much as I looked to 1790s fashion plates for inspiration, the feeling of this gown for me is all our favorite fateful promenades on the big screen. I swoon for the vast natural settings of verdant, windswept moors and azure skies just as much as for the male leads. While my hem may not be six inches deep in mud here, my heart happily is!

This gown is also a testament to my time as a sewist, being my truely first self drafted. The overall look it's self is a bit like the old bridal "something old, something new..." with my grandmother's vintage gloves and an antique hem, a fresh striped cotton gown body and figured silk overgown, borrowed moonstone earrings and a dash of blue crowning feathers.”
